NTG Clarity implemented its Network Inventory and Network Projects Workflow (NIS) for Ooredoo Oman.

We have been very satisfied with the solution, the implementation and the team. The NIS system meets our needs and has been flexible to accommodate our new requirements.

The system defines telecom network elements in hierarchical model including Sites, Racks, Shelves, Cards/Modules, Ports, Physical Links, Logical Path, Circuits, Services, Topology and Customer Assignments. The solution covers Telecom Network and IT Network as well.

Different network domains are covered: MW, RAN, MPLS, GPON, SDH, DWDM, VSAT, Wi-FI, CS and PS Core and other Network Elements.

NIS discovers network elements using integration with NMS and EMS. Different adaptors tar et different etwork Management Systems like Huawei NMS and Ericsson NMS. Other adaptors work directly with EMS using Telnet, SSH, SNMP, TL1, Web Services and other communication protocols.

The system integrates with Ooredoo BSS/OSS and ERP systems like BMC Remedy, Cell Vision, HP Service Desk, Ellipse, G/COMM (OSP), ESRI GIS, Google Maps, Oracle ERP and HP Universal Discovery.

The system is used to track customer service info for Level II Customer Technical Support. A mobile access is used by field team to receive tasks and follow progress. The system includes management dashboard and charting module with many trending analysis reports.

Ooredoo users and vendors can use the system as it is a web-based multi-tier platform. The workflow is user defined and integrates with other echo-systems. NTG Implementation team modeled equipment and worked with Ooredoo network teams to adapt network naming conventions. They successfully migrated the data from different sources like local databases and different sheets to the system.
